Residents shouldn't have to carry the whole burden.
ResiAX exists because residents should not have to carry the whole burden of explaining, chasing and proving what is happening in their homes.

ResiAX is built by Teqie Ltd, founded by Shakirah Akinwale. It grew out of a simple, repeated observation: when something goes wrong in a home, the person living there usually ends up doing most of the work — reporting the problem, chasing updates, repeating the story to every new contact, and trying to prove what was said and when.
ResiAX is being built to help residents feel heard, keep evidence, understand their rights, and communicate more clearly around housing issues — and to give landlords and housing providers a clearer, fairer way to listen and act.
ResiAX also grew from experience helping residents organise, evidence and communicate housing problems — sitting with people whose cases had stalled not because they were wrong, but because the facts were scattered. Residents shouldn't have to carry the whole burden, and they shouldn't have to carry it alone: ResiAX is built so the people you trust can stand beside you when you need them.
“I started ResiAX because too many residents are left carrying the whole burden of explaining, chasing and proving what is happening in their homes. ResiAX is my attempt to make that burden lighter: a resident-owned record, practical AI support, and a clearer way for providers to listen and act.”
— Shakirah Akinwale, Founder
The problem we're working on
Repairs get reported and lost. Complaints restart from scratch when a case handler changes. Evidence lives in camera rolls, old emails and half-remembered phone calls. Residents who are already dealing with damp, disrepair or rising service charges are also expected to be their own record-keepers, advocates and project managers.
On the other side, most landlords and providers are not ignoring residents on purpose — they are working across scattered systems with incomplete context. Both sides lose.
Rebuilding trust, one action at a time
ResiAX stands for Resident Action Exchange. The name is the mission: make the actions that keep people connected, safe and comfortable in their homes easier to take — and easier to act on.
Housing has spent years stuck in a loop of mistrust. Residents feel unheard. Providers feel under siege. And the frontline teams closest to the problems are left translating between the two with incomplete information. After Grenfell, one lesson stood above the rest: the resident voice must be genuinely involved — and genuinely understood — in the decisions that affect their homes and lives.
ResiAX was built from experience on both sides of that divide. Not to take a side, but to remove the conditions that force people onto sides in the first place: lost reports, scattered evidence, restarted conversations and decisions made without context.
For residents
A clearer way to be heard. Your issues, evidence and voice travel into every conversation, so you never have to start from zero — and being involved in decisions about your home stops depending on how loudly you can push.
For providers & frontline teams
A clearer picture of who your residents are and what they actually need — so you can tailor your service without straining your resources. Whether you run a large team with high turnover or you are a one-person operation, the shared record keeps quality consistent when people, shifts and contractors change.
When everyone can see the same clear picture, trust stops being a slogan and starts being a habit. That is the exchange ResiAX exists to make.
What ResiAX believes
Better records
When residents can keep a clear, portable record of what has happened in their home, conversations with landlords and providers start from facts instead of memory.
Resident-controlled sharing
Residents decide what to share and with whom. A landlord, council or sponsor can fund access, but they do not own the resident's private records.
Practical AI support
AI is here to reduce admin — helping structure issues, draft letters and suggest next steps — so support is more accessible, not more complicated.
Provider partnerships
Core communication with a participating provider should never depend on a resident's ability to pay. Provider subscriptions fund that access.
